UX for Solar adoption with AR and AI

Project overview

  • The aim was to create an app which can help the users to get a quotation of solar adaptation with the help of Artificial intelligence and Augmented reality

​​

  • Designing a smart energy management system that enables users to seamlessly plan, monitor, and optimize solar power usage, automate appliance integration, and switch between solar and grid power for maximum efficiency and cost savings.

Research and Analysis

Performed user interviews, surveys, contextual enquiry models and in-app analytics analysis to identify pain points and user needs.

Wireframe & Prototyping

Paper prototypes were made followed by wireframing of low-fi, mid-fi and hi-fi prototype using design tool figma.

Information Architecture

Created a navigation tree diagram and conducted card sorting with user groups to shape and refine the concept. Developed the information architecture to further create the prototype

Intuitive Features: Most users found key features like the Rewards System and Virtual Rooftop Planner highly relevant and aligned with their needs.

Smart Appliance Integration: Users liked the ability to connect and automate appliances, which added significant convenience to energy management.
